To inspire you to attend, here is a short extract from an essay written by a music student:
I sat down on the hard black stool and began feeling the music. The music that was already there in the air around me – I just needed to bring it down and let everyone hear it. I was ready. I inhaled deeply, raised my hands over the flawless keyboard and hammered out the beginning of my piece. The notes flowed from my fingers and I began to relax. The majestic introduction came to a close and the lyrical motif began. I began to lose myself in the music. I swayed and even started humming. Nothing had gone wrong and nothing would. It was going without a hitch. This was the result of eight years of playing. (Matthew Whall, Grade 11)
