On Friday the boys’ first tennis team faced very tough opposition from the Paul Roos Gymnasium second team. While the College boys enjoyed the high standard of tennis, they found their opponents very strong and we lost 0-6. The College players were Charles Fauel, Tanguy Jongen, Clive Nicolle and Jacques Morris.
The College’s second team of Joshua Putterill, Matthew Durie, Aidan Cunningham and Odwa Bikitsha had a more successful run when they beat the Parel Vallei third team. Although we drew with Parel Vallei in matches (3-3), we had won more games than them which resulted in the College winning this close encounter. Well done to Aidan Cunningham who won both his singles and doubles matches.
The U15 boys’ team also had to play against Paul Roos Gymnasium and this match also went in the opponent’s favour, 6-0. Jonathan van Druten, Nic de Waal, Alex Brody and Dylan Sutherland represented the College.
