The U16 and 1st XV boys enjoyed some tough matches against Merchiston Castle School from Scotland on Tuesday, 7 August. The U16 boys fought hard but eventually went down 10-22. The 1st XV struggled to hold possession in the first half and went into the break 3-25 down. A strong second half showing from our boys saw them hold their own and pressurise the tourists a lot more with final score 8–37.
Our U14, U15 and U16 teams travelled to Hamlets Rugby Club in Mamre on Friday afternoon. Their rugby organiser told me that many schools have opted not to travel out there and as such, they have not had many home matches this season. We enjoyed a good afternoon of rugby with our U14 and U16 teams coming away with victories. Our U15 boys came up against an extremely strong and well-drilled Hamlets outfit, I think it is safe to say that that is the best U15 team we have seen…
