Monday and Friday from 09h00 to 10h00.

If you would like to register your child for possible admission to Somerset College please complete the procedure below. Please note that a non-refundable application fee of R500 is payable upon submission of the application form.

Please be aware that students wanting to enter the Preparatory School are evaluated in an interview situation, and Senior School students are required to write an Entrance Assessment (in Mathematics and English). We do require prospective students to be on our waiting list in order to write these assessments.

We do not accept students who are entering Grade 11 or 12.

Please note the school requires written consent from both parents / guardians of a child wanting admission into Somerset College.

Important dates for 2018:

Chapel service for all new students and their parents – Tuesday 16 January 2018 at 15h00
After the Chapel service there will be an Orientation Programme for all new students.
School starts at 07h35 on Wednesday 17 January 2018 with Assembly in the Chapel.

Entrance Assessments for Grade 8 2019 – Saturday 24 February 2018
Scholarship Exams for Grade 8 2019 – Friday 2 March 2018

Pre-Prep, Prep & Senior School “Walkabout” – Friday 31 August 2018
Pre-Prep and Prep School – 09h00 to 10h00
Senior School & Cambridge – 15h00 to 16h00

Cambridge Information Evening – 6 September 2018 @ 18h30

Registration Procedure:
Complete the online Application Form or download and complete the Application Form.
Scan and email the completed form to admissions@somcol.co.za or fax to 086-763-5707 with the following:

i)  The completed College Application Form
ii) Your child’s birth certificate
iii) A copy of your child’s most recent school report (not applicable to pre-school students)
iv) Proof of payment of the non-refundable application fee of R500

Once payment of the application fee has been received, you will receive a letter confirming receipt of your application.

For your convenience you are required to transfer the registration fee of R500.00 directly into our bank account, details as follows:
