If you would like to register your child for possible admission to Somerset College please complete the procedure below. Please note that a non-refundable application fee of R500 is payable upon submission of the application form.
Please be aware that students wanting to enter the Preparatory School are evaluated in an interview situation, and Senior School students are required to write an Entrance Assessment (in Mathematics and English). We do require prospective students to be on our waiting list in order to write these assessments.
We do not accept students who are entering Grade 11 or 12.
Please note the school requires written consent from both parents / guardians of a child wanting admission into Somerset College.
Important dates for 2017:
Entrance Assessments for Grade 8 2018 – Saturday 25 February 2017.
Scholarship Exams for Grade 8 2018 – Friday 3 March 2017.
Pre-Prep, Prep & Senior School “Walkabout” – Friday 1 September 2017
Pre-Prep and Prep School – 13h30 to 14h30
Senior School & Cambridge – 15h00 to 16h00
Cambridge Information Evening – 7 September @ 18h30

Scan and email the completed form to firstname.lastname@example.org or fax to 086-763-5707 with the following:
i) The completed College Application Form
ii) Your child’s birth certificate
iii) A copy of your child’s most recent school report (not applicable to pre-school students)
iv) Proof of payment of the non-refundable application fee of R500
Once payment of the application fee has been received, you will receive a letter confirming receipt of your application.
